Celebrities Seen Wearing Bathrobes for Males in The Movies

Bathrobes for males are so cozy and comfortable that is it no surprise that so many of Hollywood’s hottest A-list actors have been spotted wearing them. Sometimes these actors wear their robes in a film, or sometimes they lounge around in robes while relaxing on set or taking a day off. With their suave Hollywood style they always make bathrobes for men look sophisticated.

Famous Bathrobes for Males in Popular Films

Who are some of the celebrities who have been seen in bathrobes for males in their films?

Johnny Depp in Secret Window (2004)

Famous actor Johnny Depp spends most of this film wearing a bathrobe, as he plays the character of Mort Rainey. This film is based on a novella by Stephen King and Depp’s character is recovering from an emotional breakdown after finding out that his wife was having an affair. He is all alone in a secluded cabin in upstate New York, suffering from writer’s block and going through emotional torment. However, at least while he is struggling with this he is warm and comfortable in a fuzzy robe.

Brad Pitt in Flight Club (1999)

Brad Pitt’s character, Tyler Durden, in the film Fight Club, wore a somewhat ridiculous looking lilac colored plush chenille bathrobe decorated with a pattern featuring mugs of steaming coffee. It is technically a ladies robe, but ever since super-cool Brad Pitt wore it in the film many men have wanted to wear this robe.

Thomas F. Wilson in Back to the Future Part II (1989)

Back to the Future Part II, unlike the other films, is a dark story about an alternate reality in which super-jerk Biff Tannen obtains as a young man in 1955 the sports results for every major sporting event for the next 50 years (given to him by his older self in the stolen Delorean). He uses the millions made by his incredible “luck” to turn Hill Valley into his own evil empire, while he resides in luxury in his “Pleasure Paradise” wearing silk bathrobes for men and surrounded by hot women (including Marty’s mom). It is also what he is wearing when Marty stands up to him in the scene that cumulates with a memorable showdown on the roof.

Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski (1998)

The character of “The Dude” made bathrobes for male look perfectly comfortable outside of the home. In fact, this is probably one of the most memorable bathrobes for males in movie history. Whether he was hanging around the house dealing with “Nihilists” or going to Ralphs in the middle of the night to pick up some half and half to put in his White Russian, he was almost always seen in his comfortable bathrobe, socks, t-shirt and underwear. The very bathrobe that Jeff Bridges wore in the film went up for auction recently, with a starting price of $500.

These are just a few examples of the most memorable bathrobes for males in great films. What other film scenes can you think of?
